App State Football Players offered Filet-O-Fish, McFlurry For Likeness In EA's College Football 25
April 4th, 2024
BOONE - As hype for EA’s College Football 25 ramps up, we have grave news to report here at the Rotten Appal. According to Kotaku, players were offered $600 and a free copy of the game in exchange for their image, likeness, and name. However, it appears that all players on the App State Football team were offered a Filet-O-Fish and a McFlurry.
“I could’ve used the 600 bucks, for like, anything,” said one demoralized player. “I don’t even fuck with the Filet-O-Fish like that. I don’t think anyone fucks with it like that.”
App is not the only school to get the Filet-O-Fish treatment. The entire Marshall roster was apparently offered one forty-piece to share between themselves. JMU players were offered Steak ‘n Shake coupons drawn in crayon.
“If it had been for Raising Canes or some shit, I’d be less reluctant,” said another player.
Players are also awarded annual payments for each year they appear in the game. According to an anonymous probe, players were promised their original offer AND a Shamrock Shake for continued appearances.
