Belk Library To Be Replaced By World's Largest Long John Silver's

BOONE - Land lubbers and fishmongers! App State Campus Dining and Long John Silver’s have announced that they will be placing the world’s largest franchise on App State’s campus. At the end of the upcoming spring semester, App State and Long John Silver’s will begin work on converting Belk Library into a full-blown Long John Silver’s franchise.
What was originally just a plan to turn the Wired Scholar into a Long John Silver’s quickly took on fins of its own. Current plans include turning the entire first floor into the kitchen/counter for the restaurant, the second floor into dining, the third floor remaining a quiet floor (albeit with more spaces for dining) and the fourth floor being turned into an aquarium, which will hold fish that will be eventually cooked in the restaurant. The lower level will be converted into a giant grease trap.
However, the closure and conversion of the library does bring one thing into question: what exactly will happen to all the items and services that are currently held inside the library? To answer that question, we asked a representative from the school, who stated: “I am unable to discuss those plans at this time.” When we inquired about whether or not there are any plans, they once again stated: “I am unable to discuss those plans at this time."
