Save The Date - Internet Icon CupcakKe Coming To Legends Sinkhole This December
November 23rd, 2024
LEGENDS - Legends, once a pillar of the arts in Boone, was forced to abruptly close its doors last fall. The building was condemned after a sinkhole opened underneath its floor, signaling the end of an era for local bands and celebrity tour stops alike. Matters were only made worse when recent Hurricane Helene flooding deepened the sinkhole, which now extends into the parking lot, an eyesore and hazard for the residents of surrounding dorms. With no plans to repair or replace Legends, many have feared that it would take a miracle to save their fourth or fifth favorite local venue. Or perhaps a bit of celebrity activism.
A stroke of luck arrived when hip-hop star CupcakKe, known for her over-the-top raunchy lyrics, got wind of Legends' plight and was touched by its story. For most, an unstable pit under a half-collapsed building would be one reason not to perform, but as Ms. CakKe explained, that was the exact reason she even considered making an appearence.
"One of my managers told me what was happening, and I was like, where the hell is Boone?" she remarked in an interview with the Rotten Appal Field Team. "I've got so much shit going on, there was just no way. But I wasn't gonna not have a concert in the Earthussy. That's just too perfect. Like Gaia was spreading her legs out and I just had to dive in."
But with that little bit of attention, App State is set to be thrust into national spotlight as the subject of CupcakKe’s newest single, titled Sinkhole. Though it’s yet to be publicly released, she has promised to debut it at her Legends performance and has even shared some of the lyrics early with our reporters:

Pussy pull you in like a sinkhole
Three fingers in the front, one in the stinkhole
You better thrust and give your all for App State
You better bust, empty your balls for App State
And then we’ll fuck on Sanford Mall, get my ass ate
Three fingers in the front, one in the stinkhole
You better thrust and give your all for App State
You better bust, empty your balls for App State
And then we’ll fuck on Sanford Mall, get my ass ate
Unexpected as it may be, it seems one woman's fixation with making lyrical jokes about holes may just save the career of a local metal band called something like Sad Clown Parade or Ten Thousand Used Needles. Whether the town itself will be better off for this remains to be determined until December 7th! Tickets available now.
