BOONE - Since their last bout of competition wins, Appalachian State's very own Team Sunergy has had their heads held high. Despite their consistent victories our shining warriors never stop looking for ways to improve, and just this last week, our solar scientists found their most efficient engine yet: a twin-turbocharged, 4.0L V8 engine running strictly on gasoline.

Boy you should hear that baby purr! With a whopping 755 horsepower this puppy leaves the competition coughing dust and kicking rocks! Apollo Diaz, the team member credited with this discovery, had this to say:

“Our main goal is to show the world that green energy is safe, efficient, and open to evolution. From solar, to wind, to hydro, and now pure high-octane gasoline, we have always found ways to progress while saving the planet.”

Team Sunergy wants to extend their gratitude to their new sponsors, BP and Exxon Mobil, for their huge financial boost that made this possible. Thanks to them, the future looks bright and ever so green. Keep up the good work guys! The planet thanks you.
